David + Isela’s wedding was a beautiful celebration at The Homestead, an Oak Glen wedding venue, nestled in the scenic Southern California mountains. This gorgeous September wedding embraced the season’s beauty and highlighted the charming atmosphere of the venue. David and Isela brought warmth and elegance to the space with a color palette of green and white. In addition to the green and white, they opted for blue suits, a great complement, which added a perfect pop of color!

One of the most memorable parts of the day was the couple’s thoughtful approach to staying connected despite not having a first look. David and Isela had their bridal party deliver gifts to one another, creating a sweet, shared anticipation as they prepared for the big moment. The joy, excitement, and love that filled those getting-ready moments were heartwarming to capture and set the stage for a meaningful ceremony.

The reception was full of surprises and personal touches that made it unforgettable! Here are some of the standout moments:
The Shoe Game Fun
During the shoe game, one of the questions was, “Who is the best dancer?”. With a little urging from the DJ, an impromptu dance-off between the bride and groom followed. This playful competition added a fun, lighthearted energy to the night and highlighted David and Isela’s personalities.
Isela’s Flash Mob Surprise
In a nod to an inside joke between the bride and groom, Isela organized a surprise flash mob with her bridal party, dancing to a routine from Napoleon Dynamite. This brought everyone in on the fun, adding an unexpected twist to the reception that made it even more memorable.
A Special Bouquet Dedication & Garter Twist
Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Isela dedicated her bouquet to her mom. I loved that she created a touching moment between her and her mom. Not wanting to miss out on his own twist on something classic, David wore a fun helmet to retrieve the garter.
Oak Glen Mountain Wedding | Green and White Wedding Theme
From the quiet, sentimental moments before the ceremony to the laughter-filled dance floor, David and Isela’s day was a beautiful reflection of their love and personalities. Capturing each of these moments at The Homestead in Oak Glen was an honor. It was a beautiful reminder of how the right venue, thoughtful details, and unique personalities can create an unforgettable day.
