This Oak Glen wedding was so beautiful and fun with Montana and Nate! They truly are such sweet people to be around and their wedding was a blast and a super fun celebration. Their venue was the Pear Grove Barn in Oak Glen, California! It is home to heirloom apple orchards and stunning views.

What to expect for an 8 hour wedding day timeline
It is so important to me that my couples are comfortable on their wedding day and know what to expect! I want to take the time to walk you through what an 8 hour day with me may look like. For most weddings, I would say that an 8 hour photography coverage is most popular! If you are having a smaller elopement style wedding, the coverage may be smaller. However, Montana and Nate chose to have me there for the full 8 hours for their Oak Glen Wedding day! This is my preference if you are having a full wedding day because it allows me to capture every detail and tell the entire story of the day!
Capturing the details
The first thing I do when I arrive, is capture all the small details before the hustle and bustle of the day gets going! This includes photos such as your wedding dress hanging, your rings, florals, anything super meaningful to you both. I then capture you getting ready and with your bridesmaids and same for the groom! This is such a fun time to be a part of because the energy is always so exciting and sweet in the room just before the first look or the walk down the aisle! I also love to use this time to capture photos of your actual wedding venue before any guests arrive.
The First Look | Oak Glen Wedding Day
Depending on what you and your partner decide, the next event in the day is capturing the first look or the ceremony! Every single couple is so different and has their own opinion on if they want to be more traditional and wait for the aisle, or incorporate a first look! Side note, even if you do not want to do a first look with your partner, you can still incorporate it with your bridesmaids or parent. Montana and Nate did choose to do a first look, and their photos were so sweet from this moment!
It’s time to tie the knot!
Next up in the timeline, is the important one! It’s time for the ceremony. I venture around the venue to capture the best angles and of course that beautiful first kiss moment! After the ceremony, we will usually have full bridal party photos and family photos! If there is a first look, we are sometimes able to incorporate those family and bridal party photos before the ceremony but it’s always different!
Let’s capture the party!
After your ceremony and photos, it is usually time for the reception! You will get announced by your DJ and have first dances, dinner, cake cutting, etc during this time! My main focus is capturing your reception details along with you and your guests! I love to capture genuine interactions with your guests, emotional reactions to your wedding speeches, all the beautiful moments throughout the reception time!

My favorite thing to do on wedding days is to steal you and your partner away during the reception when the lighting is absolutely stunning outside. We go over this in your timeline beforehand, but just right around sunset will give you those dreamy portraits together! We sneak away and capture you and your love alone and I let you both just take in the moment and the day.
Capturing the Send Off | Southern California Wedding Photographer
The last part of your wedding day, is your send off! If you choose to have a send off, there are so many options. You can do sparklers, glow sticks, a vintage car, flower petals, the list goes on! It is completely up to you and your partner and what feels the most like you!
