I always tell my clients to think about the season that they want their engagement photos. DEFINITELY dress for the season. Choosing outfits that match the time of year is a great way to ensure timeless and beautiful photos that you will love forever! Warm fall colors, jewel tones, creams, and neutrals are great choices for your romantic fall or winter engagement session and will complement the location.

This session with Kyle and Kayla in Angelus Oaks, CA was perfect for a snowy engagement session. Kayla went with a beautiful copper corduroy dress that perfectly complimented Kyle’s Sherpa denim jacket.

Always wear something that is comfortable for YOU!

As long as you are feeling confident in your outfit, you will feel comfortable and confident in your session. If your go-to outfits are dresses, then go for a velvet or corduroy dress for your fall or winter session. For a dreamy romantic look in the fall, you can’t go wrong with a velvet or midi-length dress. If your vibe is more simple, jeans, a sweater, and ankle boots will be the perfect choice for the perfect casual engagement photos.

Personalize your engagement session!!! It’s always a great idea to have layers that add to your outfit and make it a little more dynamic – like a jacket or a scarf, or even fun earrings. These denim jackets added such a perfect personal touch and unique element to these photos!
