One of my favorite unique things about a wedding is a ceremony exit in place of a grand exit! There are a few reasons why this might be a better choice for your day, BUT as always, if you are envisioning a grand exit, then do a grand exit! Your wedding is all about you and your significant other and celebrating your love! If your venue allows for sparklers or something else fun at the end of the night, then go for it, but if not, here are just a few reasons why I love a ceremony exit!

This is the entire point of the day – you’re getting married!! Celebrate with your guests with a fun “exit”! For a ceremony exit, instead of walking out as normal after your ceremony is finished, make it an intentional time and let your guests know! You can even have bubbles, flower petals, ribbon wands, or flags on their chairs.

Another benefit of a ceremony exit instead of a grand exit at the end of the night is that all your friends and family are there! By the end of the night, a lot of guests tend to leave once the last formal event happens. Then there aren’t as many people potentially for your grand exit at the end of the night.
The last reason that I love a ceremony exit is the lighting! I’m always a fan of natural light photos over flash. Flash can make for super fun photos but nice clean even lighting for your bubbles or flower petals makes for beautiful photos! You’re more likely to print out a photo with natural light than one with flash.

Ultimately the best exit is the one that you want! Check with your venue and photographer to make sure that you can have the best exit possible. If you like the idea of a ceremony exit and love that all your guests will be present to celebrate with you and want fun pictures with great lighting as a bonus, then I’m your girl!
